Trial aims for safer speeds around rural schools

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) will begin a trial of variable speed limits outside rural schools next month as part of the agency's ongoing effort to reduce serious crashes and improve safety on rural New Zealand roads.

The changes made to the originally circulated version are shown as red tracked changes in this version. Your views are requested on these changes before the document is included in the Traffic Control Devices Manual. Submissions close on 16 May 2012.
