Due to the Canterbury earthquakes the original NZTA offices at Hereford and Victoria Streets are closed and have been replaced with offices at 245 Blenheim Road, Upper Riccarton, and Airport Business Park, Unit C, 92 Russley Road, Russley, Christchurch.

Agent services operating
Some driver testing, licensing and vehicle inspection agencies and services have been temporarily closed or suspended in the greater Christchurch area. However, most are able to provide their usual services at the usual times.

Practical testing is being conducted at Rangiora, Papanui, AA Riccarton and VTNZ Jipcho Rd. Testing at Sydenham and Shirley is cancelled until further notice. |

NZ Post |
NZ Post Kiwibank stores are all open for normal business except Eastgate Mall. As a result of earthquake damage, the following PostShop stores in the Christchurch CBD will not be re-opening:

Vehicle Inspections (WoF and CoF) |
Services are available at AA Hornby; VTNZ Lichfield Street, Rangiora, Sockburn, Jipcho Road and Northwood; VINZ Colombo Street and Airport. See the MTA website for a list of MTA garages providing WoF services in Canterbury. |
