Measuring our performance

Updated: 19 April 2012

We’re responsible for Crown revenue of $2.8 billion, allocation of $2.0 billion, and an operating budget of approximately $270 million.

On this page

We have two key documents that the Government uses to measure our performance in our use of those funds:

  • Our Statement of intent sets out the goals and objectives for the upcoming three years and how we'll work to meet them.
  • Our Annual report outlines our achievements against those goals and objectives and accounts for the funds used.

We also participate in an across-government annual performance benchmarking of six core administrative and support functions – finance, information communications and technology (ICT), human resources, procurement, property, and corporate and executive services.

  • Better Administrative Support Services (BASS) results provide information on the cost, efficiency and effectiveness of these core functions. For the NZTA, the BASS benchmarking process helps us in our drive to deliver value for money in all we do.
